Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh Visits CYG Pune Office.

Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra was in Pune on Saturday, 22nd December 2007 along with Mr. Harshvardhan Patil, State Minister for Agriculture Marketing and Mr. Ajit Pawar, District Guardian Minister to inspect the progress on the infrastructural development for the Commonwealth Youth Games Pune 2008. He expressed satisfaction at the work undertaken by various agencies.

Mr. Suresh Kalmadi, M.P. and Chairman of the Organising Committee, Commonwealth Youth Games Pune 2008 apprised the CM about the work at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex and other developmental activities like roads, flyovers and beautification plans. The CM also met the executive committee of the CYG at the office of the Commonwealth Youth Games Pune 2008.

Later the CM told newsmen that he would urge the Centre and the Urban Development Ministry headed by Mr. Jaipal Reddy to release the additional grant of Rs. 300 crores under JNNURM earlier announced in Pune.
